The folly of Watchtower's theodicy. Or, why would an all-powerful and all-wise God need to justify his sovereignty through suffering?

watchtower says that evil and suffering exist at present to vindicate jehovah as being the only one qualified to govern; to bear witness to man's inability to govern himself independent of god and under satan's direction.

the claim is made that the questions raised by satan regarding god's motives as universal sovereign can only be answered by allowing humans to see the evil and suffering that results when man lives independent of god's protection and direction.. watchtower and jws seem to think that this is the best theodicy in the world.

but there are some serious flaws in it.. 1. such a theodicy suggests that all perfect and intelligent creation, up until the advent of adam and eve, did not know god and his ways well enough to be confident that his motives as universal sovereign are pure.

This didn't make sense to me as a five year old child and still doesn't make sense to me.

Psychology: Sick of Elder Low tone slow paced talk

now after 21 years in professional psychology/humanities, i love talking to brothers that adopt a slow pace in speech, and low tone of voice when they deal with the rank and cold un-associated ones.

my mirroring their present state in personality seems to psych them out for a bit.

i then tap into my fast injection of logical sense, that throws them off.

I like that 90's Watchtower with the old people on it and it that says this generation will not pass away and they have all since kicked the bucket. That sums up the Watchtowers generation teaching in a nut shell.

Sounds like more bad advise from the dubs JC. I know my sister was told to go back to her abusive husband as she did not get a "scriptural" divorce. Even though she is blinded by the organization, I had to give her created she stuck to her decision. She told one elder that told her to go back, "you didn't have to live with him".

at around 4 minutes into the september 2015 video splane said "for the man and the baby to be part of josephs generation they would have had to have lived at least some time during joseph's lifespan.".

this is the lynchpin of the wt argument, that two lives must overlap to be considered the same generation.. let's take an example of twins who are born just a few minutes apart.

obviously, these twins are the same generation as each other.

one of the elders schools i attended, we dealt with a person who touched a girls breast and covered it up and kept it secret until it was revealed through a source.

the instructor first laid the ground work for a guilt trip.

Yeah, that happened a lot in my life, and it wasn't unclean it was GREAT. Lovely ladies, soft kisses and

I had a couple of nephews that got DF'd for cupping a feel. The one is pushing 40 and i don't think he has ever kissed a girl. A predominately elder, missionary type. I think he needs a good >>>>>. Nothing surprises me with these old perv. elders. They seem to get off of talking and going into detail about what and where you put your hands. It is not good enough to just say you touch a little boob but they have to know every gory detail and how it felt etc.

i remember seeing the ex-jws parading around outside the assembly like lepers holding placards of hate.

we were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness.

Anger only hurts the angry person. You have to let go and move on with your life. Enjoy the time you have on this earth. I do not blame my parents as they did the best they could even though they were mislead. I put all the blame the organization. The only thing is to protest in front of a convention you are not hurting the organization but those mislead ones that believe what they have is the truth.
